LYNN PUBLIC SCHOOLS - DELAYED OPENING SCHEDULES

In the event of unusual weather conditions or other safety-related situations, The Lynn Public Schools may delay the opening of the school day.  Doing so will allow for the safe arrival to school campuses while protecting the school day.
The district may elect to delay school by one hour or two hours.

Delays would impact only the opening of school.  In the event of a delayed opening, dismissal will occur at the regularly scheduled time.  When delays are announced, the opening of school will occur one hour or two hours later than normal according to the following schedule (dismissal time will not be affected):

School transportation pick up will occur one hour or two hours later than normal.
School lunches will be served at their regular times.

The same media that make school cancellation announcements will announce the delay.

Parents and or guardians are not to send or drop off their children early
on days when a delayed opening has been announced.
